Benefits of Massage

Massage dilates the blood vessels, improving circulation and relieving congestion throughout the body. It relaxes muscles spasms and relieves muscle tension. By improving general circulation it increases nutrition to the tissues. It is accompanied or followed by an increased interchange of substanaces between the blood and tissues cells, heightening tissue metabolism, increasing the excretion (via kidneys) of fluids and waste products in normal individuals. Massage also stretches connective tissue, improves its circulation and nutrition and therefore breaks down or prevents the formation of adhesions and reduces the danger of fibrosis. It improves muscle tone and helps prevent or delay muscular atrophy resulting from forced inactivity. But the best benefit of all is that MASSAGE MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD.
